Holy Halloween
I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that next week is already November. 2011 is simply flying by. This is such a fun time of year, there are so many holidays to celebrate. That means spending time with family and friends, going to fun parties, and eating delicious food. Since Baby H is expected to arrive the mist of it all, that will just add to the excitement.
This past weekend was low key for us. Saturday I headed to Mall of America with my Mom to do a little shopping. I knew we had our maternity photography session coming up and wanted to look for a few wardrobe options. Thank you again Macy's maternity department... they never let me down. Saturday night Mitch and I ordered pizza and watched Entourage all night. Its been a while since we sat on the couch cuddled up watching our shows. Sunday we finally made it to church. We always have good intentions but this time we actually made it there! That afternoon we met up with Kelly & Ryan for lunch. They were in town from California for a wedding, so we snuck in a couple hours of socializing. It's always so good to see them! We finished the night watching the Vikings game at Mitch's parents and enjoying the ultimate football food... chili. The Vikings lost (shock shock) but we still had a good time! Oh, and I must throw this in - I won this past week in our "Pick Em'" league. Clearly I'm a great football mind!
Last night we met with Kristen downtown to take our maternity pictures. She shot some indoor photos at the Guthrie and took a few outside as well. It was insanely windy and a little on the chilly side, but that didn't stop us! We all hung in there, and stuck it out. I'm so excited to see how everything turned out, she always does a wonderful job.
Since Halloween is less than a week away, we opted to carve our pumpkins tonight. We even created one for Baby H. We have the "Hillbilly Collection" this year. We've already purchased our candy, which may have been a mistake. We're guilty of breaking into the stash, but how can you not when you're talking about Baby Ruth's, Kit Kat's and Butterfinger's. We might need to make another Target run for an additional bag of candy. People keep telling me, "oh just buy the candy you don't like, then you won't eat it." That would be helpful if there was a candy bar I didn't enjoy. Oh well, it's only once a year right?
Our 4th week of birthing class is already tomorrow. Just like everything else, they are going by very quickly. We're into the 8th month of my pregnancy with only 44 days left to our due date. We have another appointment next Monday just to check in and make sure things are going as planned. We're almost to the "month countdown!"
Until next time...
