Checking Things Off The List!
Mitch and I were on a mission again this past week, it ended up being extremely productive. We made frequent trips to Babies R' Us, which allowed us to check a few more things off our list before Baby H's arrival.
Last Tuesday, we finally decided on a car seat/stroller travel system. After going back and forth between two, we walked out of the store with the green Chicco system we originally looked at. Much to our surprise, it was pretty painless to put together and operate which was reassuring. I had visions of me struggling with the stroller, resulting in a meltdown. We made our second trip to Babies R' Us Saturday with a swing/bouncer on the mind. We had registered for a swing/bouncer duo set, and from what we've heard this machine will be a life saver. Below are a few photos of our new purchases!

We also started our 6 week long birthing classes last week. We have class every Thursday from 7pm-9pm right at Maple Grove Hospital. Since it's minutes from our house that makes the commute easy. After just one week we both feel like it's completely worth the money. Last class we went over the different stages of labor and what to expect during each stage. It was an eye opening experience for both of us... but more so for Mitch. He thought the whole labor process was a "wham-bam done deal." Thank goodness he realizes now this process take time. I know he'll be a great support system, let's just hope I'm not too hard on him! I'm excited to see what the next 5 weeks bring.
This past week we were able to spend so quality time with my family visiting from Missouri. Both my grandparents and Aunt Margie Schumer were here enjoying the abnormally warm October. My Grandma and I got to enjoy a girls night on Friday, which is rare occasion. Mani's, pedi's and dinner were in order... it was so fun to be able to enjoy each other's company. Saturday we all were in the stands at Osseo Senior High cheering for Austin at his football game. We also spent plenty of time watching the St. Louis Cardinals! It was so nice to hang out with everyone, I just wish they could stay longer!
We already have another appointment next week, which is always exciting. We are under the 2 month mark which seems incredible. Ready or not... Baby H is coming! We couldn't be more excited!
Until next time...

We have the stroller/carseat from the same collection you have your swing from! Great minds...
ReplyDeleteI have the same swing (different color, but same brand/look etc) and we really liked it. Used it for a looong time (until someone got too fat and the swing wouldn't swing anymore...hahaha)
