Yet again, this past weekend we were busy celebrating so many fun occasions. My baby brother Austin turned 17 on Saturday. It seems like just yesterday my parents were waking me up in the wee hours of the morning to head to the hospital. Oh how time flies, and it's only going faster.
My grandparents came into town from Missouri on Saturday as well. We all met at El Rodeo for a birthday dinner, and ended the night opening gifts and devouring Dairy Queen ice cream cake. I think overall he had a pretty good birthday. It's amazing to think that Mitch and I started dating when he was in 1st grade, and now he is 17 and a junior in high school. Little Austie is growing up.

Grace, Me and the Birthday Boy! |
On Sunday, my amazing friends Amanda, Jenna and Melissa hosted an amazing baby shower for me and Baby H. They did a spectacular job making the day absolutely perfect. They planned great games, made delicious food, designed an adorable cake and made the day unforgettable for us. Everyone was so generous, and I feel completely blessed to have amazing family and friends in my life. After last night, I think we're even closer to being ready for the arrival of Baby H. One gift we received is a maternity photo session with Kristen Anne Photography - thanks again to Amanda, Kathy, Jenna, Janice, Melissa and Tammy! We booked our session today for October 25th, and I can't wait to see how everything goes! Mitch and I are still busy unpacking gifts and finding a home for Baby H's new goodies. Thanks again to everyone who made yesterday extra special!

We had another doctor appointment today, and everything went great. We heard Baby H's heartbeat which is always a great sound, and they said everything is looking right on track. We're to the point where we start having appointments every 2 weeks, which means the countdown is getting closer! It's amazing to think we're already at week 30, and by the end of this week we will only have 9 weeks to go!
We also toured the birthing center at Maple Grove Hospital last Thursday. It was just a quick 30 minute tour, but we both found it very informative. The place is absolutely stunning, and it was nice to get a run down of how things go once you arrive. Now we know what to expect, which makes me feel a little bit better. Our birthing classes also start this Thursday, which I'm excited about. I really have no idea what to expect, but I imagine it will all be very useful! We're almost to single digit weeks for the countdown!
Until next time...
