Final Countdown

One month from tomorrow is our due date. That's 4 measly weeks, incredible. I can't describe our level of excitement to meet this little girl. The last few weeks people have told us to really enjoy each other's company while it's still us two. In 4 weeks or less, we'll be a family of three!

A couple weeks ago we had a maternity photo shoot with Kristen Anne Photography. We've known Kristen for a few years, she also did our engagement and wedding photos. We headed downtown Minneapolis and she did an amazing job on a blustery fall night. We received the CD in the mail last week. There are so many pictures to chose from, but below are a few of my favorites.

This past weekend was opening deer season, which means my Mom was a "hunter's widow." Mitch and Austin headed to St. Paul Saturday night to cheer on the Minnesota Wild. My Dad's friend Scott gave them great tickets, and they saw a victory over the St. Louis Blues. While they were enjoying the hockey game, my Mom and I had a girls night out with the Shemon ladies. We tried a new restaurant in St. Louis Park known as Soprano's. It's a fun Italian restaurant, and is owned by the same owners as Crave. We were there for 3+ hours chatting and devouring our delicious dinner. Since there were several menu items I wanted to try, we'll need to go back very soon!

Today, Mitch and I cut the work day short and met with a possible pediatrician for Baby H. We were referred by a co-worker of Deb's (Mitch's mom) who had nothing but great things to say. We watched Curious George, checked out the fish tank, and searched an I SPY book while we waited. Mitch was sold on the I SPY book. We spoke with a nurse practitioner and a pediatrician and went over the list of questions we had prepared. Everyone was so friendly, and the atmosphere was great. It's nice to have that decision made, and crossed off the list.

We decided to end the day with a date night. Shopping was first where we picked out an outfit together to bring Baby H home in. I must say, it's pretty darn adorable. From there we headed to AMC for a Tuesday matinee - Ides of March, George Clooney, Ryan Gossling, you really can't go wrong. We ended the evening at Broadway Pizza for Bar Bingo and grub. It was such a fun night to spend together!

Thursday is our last night of birthing class. It's been a great 5 weeks, and I imagine week 6 will be equally as helpful. Friday night we're testing our parenting skills by watching the Medford girls while Melissa and Christian attend a family member's wedding. We're always excited to have those two over!

Let the final countdown begin... 31 days!

Until next time...
The Helleen's
