Party Weekend

Last weekend we were complete party animals (by our standards.) We had plans both Friday and Saturday, and nowadays thats a rarity. Friday, as I was sitting at my desk working away I got a text from Jennie saying "Mike and I have two extra Twins tickets for tonights game, do you and Mitch want to come?" After checking with my parents to see if they could watch Harper, we confirmed our double date at Target Field.

While we headed downtown Minneapolis to meet Mike and Jennie after work, Harper had a fun date night planned too. My parents decided to brave Chuck E. Cheese on a Friday night, and from what we heard it was a total success. She ate some pizza, played some games and left with a few prizes. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before we're back at the Cheese!

We started our double date night out at The Loop for dinner. After some burgers and beers we made our way to Target Field for a beautiful night of baseball. It's been a while since we hung out as a foursome, so we made the most of our night. We watched a little of the game, and had a few more drinks. Jennie learned how to send emoticons on her iPhone and Mitch sent a few signature snapchats. Overall, it was an awesome night out. Thanks Mike & Jennie for the invite!

We were excited Saturday to head to Minnetonka Orchards to celebrate the wedding of Rachel and Brendan. She planned this beautiful rustic style wedding, and saying it was beautiful is an understatement. We walked through the woods on a gravel path to the private ceremony location. Rachel was an absolutely stunning bride.

After officially being introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Haugo we headed back to the reception area. It was such a laid back, relaxing vibe. There were hay bale couches, yards games, hayrides, mini-horses, and drinks in customized #brenchel2013 can koozies. It was totally awesome.

It was so fun to celebrate another great couple, and have all our friends together again. We took advantage of the games and played a few rounds of bocce and bags and even jumped on the hayride! After dinner and a short dancing stent, we went back outside to lounge around and chat with everyone by the bonfire. The atmosphere was amazing, and the couple was glowing - overall it was a terrific wedding! Congrats again Mr. & Mrs. Haugo!

After the wedding, we decided we weren't quite ready to call it a night. Harper was spending the night at Bob & Deb's, so we headed to Maple Tavern with my parents for late night drinks and apps. Amanda was also at Maple Tavern for her 10-year High School reunion. Even though we went to different schools, I still knew a lot of her high school classmates from my elementary school and junior high days. So naturally, I marched downstairs to find Amanda and crash the MGSH reunion. I had a blast seeing everyone, and catching up with some old faces. I'm looking forward to my own reunion here in a few weeks!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Until next time...
