Antsy Pants
Alright, since I'm photo obsessed I have to share this right away! As I mentioned last week, we had Harper's 1-year photos taken by Kristen Anne Photography last Sunday. We completely adore Kristen and her extraordinary work, so I was looking forward to seeing the results. I received a Facebook notification this afternoon letting us know she updated her blog with photos from Sunday. I couldn't login to her site fast enough! We are completely thrilled with the sneak peek she gave us and I can't wait to see the rest! Enjoy!
I also learned a very important lesson this week. It involves Christmas decorations, and kiddos. Number one, don't put the Christmas gifts under the tree until the night we plan to open them. I came into the living room to find Harper unwrapping one of her gifts! Someone is just too excited for the holiday season! She seemed intrigued by the Sesame Street wrapping paper earlier in the week, but tricked me into thinking she wasn't going to actually do anything with the gifts. Once she realized she could rip the paper off, there was no stopping her. Needless to say, Harper has already opened one Christmas gift and we've put together the giant foam Cookie Monster puzzle several times. Moving forward, the gifts will be placed under the tree downstairs.
We've also made some great progress on the playroom over the last couple weeks. It's coming together nicely, and we're right on track to meet our December 15th deadline. I think Mitch and I are more excited to get this room done than anyone else. I wouldn't be surprised if we spend most of our time downstairs playing, for Harper's sake of course! Or that's what we'll tell ourselves.
This weekend I have a girls night planned Saturday. I'm looking forward to a fun dinner downtown Minneapolis with Amanda, Jennie and Jayna followed by a night of laughs at the Brave New Workshop! We also plan to get most of our Christmas shopping done, so we can cross that off our list of "to-do's." Not to mention finalize party plans for Harper's 1st birthday! Busy, busy, busy. December is certainly the month of exciting celebrations!
Until next time...
