Super E Turns 3

Calling all Superheroes - Super E is THREE! 

Right now Emmett's world revolves around Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and all-things Superheroes. You can find him "HULK smashing" just about everything in site, or gathering a team of superheroes to beat that tricky villain, Joker. Otherwise he's shooting webs while sporting a flashy cape, incognito mask and his minion undies. That being said, it was easy to select a party theme this year - so we gathered our super capes and put on our masks to celebrate Super E turning 3! 

We celebrated Emmett's actual birthday at home a day early. It was a good way to kick off a superhero filled weekend. E unwrapped the Hulk Ooshie we've been desperately searching for and his reaction was the best! He ran around shouting "Oh my gosh! We got the Hulk!" Over the last three years, he's become quite a pro at opening gifts. It didn't take him long to rip through the paper to find a team of superheroes staring back at him and the Batman playset. He was in superhero heaven! 

 

 

That Saturday we invited our buddies over for the actual superhero bash! Unfortunately it was wet and rainy, so that ruined our bounce house plans - but we still managed to have an awesome time! Kiddos arrived in their favorite superhero attire and flooded the playrooms. Super E chose to have cheeseburgers for dinner - one of his favorites. He most excited about the Spiderman cake and all that frosting! Batman even made an appearance, but Super E wasn't feeling it (see frantic video below). Although the birthday boy didn't want to be Batman's sidekick, all the other kiddos loved chasing him around (thanks Uncle Matt!) Our generous super friends gave Emmett some awesome birthday gifts too. We are so thankful they could join us in celebrating! 

 

 

Oh Emmett Henry, every day you've stolen our hearts, challenged us, impressed us with your wild imagination all while flashing your signature smirk. You, sweet boy completed our family three years ago and our lives are better because you're in it. We can't wait to see what year three has in store for you! As we say every night - love you mee mee moo moo! Soar high, party dude!
