Meltdown Mania

I'm officially declaring week 18 the week of meltdowns. Poor Mitch has dealt with my craziness this week. On several occasions, I've been overly emotional for no particular reason. If you ask my brother, he would tell you this is no different from how I was before I was pregnant. Thanks Aust.

Tonight I experienced a clothing crisis. We leave for Missouri this Saturday to visit family for the 4th of July. Since most of my regular jeans barely fit me, I realized none of my summer shorts are going to work. Knowing Missouri has a history of blessing us with hot and humid weather over the 4th, we decided to run to a few stores to shop for shorts and other summer necessities. Let's just say, it was not a successful shopping trip. I'm not sure if I just buy a size that fits me now, or if I search for maternity shorts that could last the entire summer. I quickly realized maternity clothes seem to be slim pickin's in most of my usual stores, or perhaps I just need to do a little more research on where exactly to shop. This whole experience led to yet another mini meltdown. I might attempt another shopping trip tomorrow after work, fingers crossed for a better outcome.

I need to throw a shout out to Mitch for being so patient with me and not thinking I'm absolutely crazy. Maybe he does think I'm crazy, but at least he doesn't show it! :)

Less than two weeks before the BIG DAY! Countdown to July 11th: 12 days!

Until next time...

  1. Two favorite stores to shop for maternity clothes?? Target: cute and cheap, per usual. And Gap Maternity (only at MOA and Southdale Mall I believe) but totally worth the drive. VERY cute stuff!
